Are you looking for a way to honor the man in your life? A Man Cave will speak volumes. Every man needs a space where he can be himself and express his masculinity. After all isn’t that what women love about men? This is an endeavor that should not be taken lightly or quickly. Take time to plan out the dedicated space. Finding a “room” may also be a challenge. Look around your home and think about how each space is really used. Do you have a dining room that is used once or twice a year? Maybe you have a large storage building that is not really used. It maybe some work and money but you might consider finishing off space for this project. Finished square footage adds value to your home. Porches are another space that can be closed in and made into a heated finished Man Cave!
The definition a Man Cave is a dedicated space for the Man to hang out and do whatever he wants and where women are only allowed when invited! The tricky part is if you are going to surprise your man; then you have to make all of the decorating decisions. A good idea is to surprise him with the idea, then he can really do it himself if he likes, with your help. Remember this is his room, and his self expression. Here are some ideas to present to him and for you to consider.
There are many different themes to choose from. You could use a rustic home decor
or a primitive home decor. Home theaters are very popular coupled with a bar. If you want to go retro you can do a jukebox, popcorn maker, and pin ball. For a sports jock use his favorite team as a theme with their colors. Hunters can use log furniture, knotty pine paneling and an elk rack on the wall. Golfers could even have an indoor putting green. Gamers could have slot machines, poker tables, pool tables and arcade games. Don’t forget the video game chairs. The party hardy crowd could have a beer pong, a bar with a kegerator, and a jacuzzi. For the tamer crowd table tennis, foos ball, darts, and air hockey are some fun options.
The whole point of this space is for self expression and comfort, so your roll should be as a facilitator. Bring ideas, ask questions, and help him to focus on the look that he is trying to create. Help might come in the form of educating him on how to make the right color choice. Bring out a color wheel ( or look one up on line) and point out the complimentary colors(those colors opposite), and the analogous colors(these colors are neighbors), then let him choose. Help might also come in the form of showing him ways to reuse, re-purpose, and recycle what you already have..

Hi – really great website you have established. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to publish a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically delightful. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a marketing firm. I have always enjoyed functioning with computers and am attempting to learn code in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).

Thanks for writing about this. There’s a bunch of solid tech info on the internet. You’ve got a lot of that info here on your website. I’m impressed – I try to keep a couple blogs somewhat on-going, but it’s a struggle sometimes. You’ve done a great job with this one. How do you do it?
